Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. She made her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by an experienced photographer. This led to an impressive modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule she carried over to her acting. She was cast in a minor role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the casting director. Doody was listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she took on the role as a Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her greatest role as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 film adaptation for television of King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust and in the British TV series Waking the Dead (in a two-part episode named. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody was a guest on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria tierra de cine award and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
